Fix Samsung TV No Network Cable Detected

How do I fix Samsung Ethernet not working?

Samsung TV No Network Cable Detected problem can be fixed by reconnecting/replacing the cable connections, resetting your TV internet settings, rebooting your Wi-Fi connection and Samsung TV or resetting the Samsung TV to its default settings.

Verify LAN/Ethernet Cable

If you’re getting an error message stating Network Cable not detected, then there are chances that your LAN/Ethernet cable isn’t connected properly or having some issue.

In this scenario, follow the instruction as given below;

  • Check to make sure your Ethernet cable is securely connected to the router and your device. 
  • Check to make sure the Ethernet cable is not damaged.
  • Check the Ethernet port on your device to make sure it is functioning properly. 
  • Check the router settings to make sure the router is configured correctly for the Ethernet connection. 

Afterward, connect to your network and check if the issue persists.

Refresh internet setting on Samsung TV

It may be an internet problem if your Samsung TV cannot recognize that the LAN wires are connected. You can fix this by resetting your internet settings.

  1. Press the Home button on the Samsung remote.
  2. Navigate to Settings > General > Network.
  3. Select the Reset network option and choose Yes.
  4. And, then restart the TV.

After restarting the TV, connect it to your network and check if the problem is resolved. If not, then move to the next solution.

Power cycle your Samsung TV

Refreshing the internet setting not helping you out, then it can be a temporary glitch that’s causing the issue. To fix this, power cycle your TV;

  1. Unplug your Samsung TVs power cable from the power source.

Reboot your WI-FI connection

  2. Unplug the router/modem cable from the power source and disconnect the ethernet cable from the TV as well.
  3. Leave it for 60 seconds.
  4. Plug the cable into the power source and TV both.
  5. Turn on the WI-FI

After the router is powered on, wait a few minutes for it to fully restart and reconnect to the network. 

Factory reset your Samsung TV

If your Samsung TV is still having trouble connecting to the internet via Ethernet, then restoring your Samsung TV settings to its default factory settings may help. To do so, follow the steps below.

  • Press the Home button on your remote and head to the Settings.
  • Now, navigate to the Support menu and select Self Diagnosis.
  • Next, select Reset and enter your pin.
  • Allow the TV to reset

Once your Samsung TV resets to its default settings, reconnect the TV to the network via the Ethernet port.
