  8. After installing the updates, go to the Google Play Store(beta) section and check the box beside Enable Google Play Store on your Chromebook.
  9. Open Google Play Store and click on Agree.
  10. Sign to the Account with credentials and accept the terms and conditions of Google. And you are all set to use the google play store.

Enable The Developer Mode To Get Google Play Store

If changing the channel to the beta doesn’t work for you, well you can try to change the channel to the developer mode and get access to the google play store. Follow the steps as given below;

  1. Navigate to the Quick Settings panel (icons at the bottom right corner of the drawer).
  2. Go to the Settings and,
  3. Click on the About Chrome OS.
  4. Next, click on the More Info button.
  5. Then, Click on the Change Channel.
  6. Select Developer-unstable and click on the Change Channel button.
  7. After selecting the developer-unstable channel, automatically chrome os will start downloading the latest developer channel version.
  8. Once the download completes, open the Status panel and click on Restart to update.
  9. After the Chromebook restarts, you’ll find the Google Play Store on the bottom shelf. Open and sign in to your google account.

Update Chrome OS to Get Google Play
