On Windows;

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager on your Windows Desktop.
  • Now, head to the CiscoVideoGuardMonitor and right-click on it.
  • Then, click End task.

On Mac;

  • On your Mac, click on Go and then click on Utilities.
  • Now, double-click on the Activity Monitor option.
  • After that, scroll to the CiscoVideoGuardMonitor and click on the X (Close/quit) button.

Lastly, relaunch the Sky Go on your desktop and stream a show or movie to see if the issue is resolved or not.

Disable your firewall

There is also a possibility that your Sky Go issue results from your firewall. You can temporarily disable your firewall to see if that is the problem for you.

  1. On your Mac, click Go and then Applications
  2. Now, select Sky Go and remove it.
  3. Return to the desktop and click on Go and then Go to folder.
  4. Type here “~/library” and click on Go
  5. After that, head to Cisco and delete the VideoGuardPlayer folder.
  6. At last, visit the Sky Go Installer for Mac and download the file and install using on-screen instructions.
