Does your Crunchyroll keeps buffering? Crunchyroll is a popular website for watching anime shows, and I have been using them for years.

Recently, I was trying to stream Chainsaw Man using Crunchyroll on my LG device. But after a few seconds, it started buffering on my device, and it was driving me nuts.

To solve this buffering problem with Crunchyroll, I checked online. Also, I contacted the Crunchyroll team, and it took me about half an hour to figure out how to fix my Crunchyroll buffering issue.

And, if you’re here, you must be looking for fixes to fix the buffering issue. If so, this post is intended for you; here, you’ll get the solution that worked for me and others.

How do I fix Crunchyroll buffering issue?

The Crunchyroll keeps buffering issue can be fixed by lowering the video quality, disabling the VPN and Antivirus (if using), rebooting your streaming and internet devices, clearing the corrupted cache and data, updating the app and device to the latest version, or reinstalling the Crunchyroll app.

Check your internet

It can be your internet that’s buffering the Crunchyroll shows. To check whether this is the case or not, try streaming other shows on the Crunchyroll app. If it’s buffer, too, then try checking whether your internet is working or not.

To check this, you can visit speedtest.net or try playing another streaming app to see if you experience buffering issues there.

If your internet is working slow, try troubleshooting your internet connection. To do so;

  • Turn off and unplug your Router from the outlet.
  • Wait for 10 minutes.
  • And plug back into the outlet and turn on your Router.

If the internet is still not working, try the following steps;

  • Try moving your Router closer and higher to the streaming device.
  • Ensure that there is no obstacle placed between your WiFi and streaming device.
  • Connect your streaming device to the internet via ethernet cable.
  • Enable the hotspot on your smartphone and connect your streaming device to it. If the Crunchyroll is working without buffering, then contact your internet service provider to fix your internet connection.

Check for an outage

Next, you need to check the real-time server status of Crunchyroll. There were instances where users faced buffering, crashing, and not working issues because of an outage.

So, visit downdetector or isitdownrightnow and check the server outage report of Crunchyroll.

If there’s any outage, wait for a few hours, it will be fixed by the Crunchyroll team. Once it’s resolved, you’ll be able to watch your desired shows without any buffer.
