Recently one of my relatives bought a Samsung smart tv with Dolby Atmos. But he was not sure how to enable the Dolby Atmos sound on his Samsung tv. Does My Samsung TV Support Dolby Atmos

Most of the time people are unsure whether their Samsung tv supports Dolby Atmos or not. Dolby Atmos is Only Supported Through HDMI mode

  1. Connect the HDMI cable from the HDMI out (TV Arc) port of the soundbar to the HDMI in (ARC/eARC) port on your tv.
  2. If you’re using a Bluray disk player then make sure no encoding is selected in the bitstream.
  3. Make sure secondary audio is set off.
  4. On your Samsung tv home screen make sure that audio is selected auto.

Enable Dolby Atmos on Your Samsung TV

You need to set up your Samsung tv settings properly to enjoy the Dolby Atmos sound on your Samsung smart tv. Make these settings on your Samsung tv by following the steps below.

  1. On your Samsung tv remote press the home button.
  2. Select the settings options.
  3. Now select the sound menu from the setting options.
  4. Select experts settings from the list.
  5. Now set HDMI-eARC mode to auto.
  6. Scroll down and set digital output audio format as auto or pass through.
  7. Now select Dolby Atmos compatibility to activate Dolby Atmos on your Samsung tv.

  3. Check your AV device: If you’re using an av receiver then check the display of the receiver for making sure what audio is your receiver detecting.
